Ashley Moguel

Program Director, SYEP/WLG

Senior Leadership

Ashley Moguel’s professional journey is deeply personal, rooted in her experiences as a homeless immigrant youth navigating the streets of New York City. She once relied on the very services she now provides, fueling her passion for youth development and giving her a unique perspective on the challenges young people face. With resilience and determination, she pursued a college education, which laid the foundation for a career dedicated to creating opportunities for underserved youth.

One of Ashley’s most significant milestones was her role as an Employment Coordinator at the nonprofit that once sheltered her. In this position, she forged partnerships with local shelters and youth centers, bringing critical employment services to those in need. This experience strengthened her skills in relationship-building and program development, and underscored her commitment to vulnerable communities.

As Program Director for Roads to Success, Ashley oversees partnerships and city contracts, working to deliver impactful programs to underserved youth. Her journey is a testament to the power of support and mentorship, and she is deeply connected to the mission of RTS, which resonates with her own values of empowering young people to overcome barriers and pursue meaningful opportunities.

A standout moment in Ashley’s second year with RTS was witnessing her interns collaborate with New York State district attorneys and the DEA, developing ideas to bridge the gap between youth and law enforcement during a period of social tension. This experience sparked newfound confidence in the interns, some of whom have since pursued careers in law, with the courage to engage with city leaders on pressing issues.

In her free time, Ashley finds joy in staying active through community volunteer work, competitive board games, yoga, and exploring New York City’s hidden gems with her partner and children.
