David Filpo’s journey to Roads to Success is a story of resilience, passion, and a deep commitment to youth development. Growing up in Brooklyn, David learned early on the importance of determination, working hard to ensure his circumstances did not define his future. From his start as a cook at Chipotle to managing multiple afterschool programs, each step has taught him the value of hard work and leadership. After earning his bachelor’s degree in Sport Management, David realized his true passion lay in leading and inspiring others, particularly in the field of education and youth development.

He joined Roads to Success in 2018 as a sports instructor, and today, he proudly serves as a Program Manager. David's time at RTS has been filled with impactful moments, such as when he accompanied middle school students on a four-day adventure camp. Watching the students experience zip-lining, kayaking, and other outdoor activities they might never have encountered otherwise filled him with joy and deepened his dedication to creating opportunities for youth.

Beyond work, David’s enthusiasm for sports fuels his energy. He loves staying active, playing football with friends, and discovering lesser-known sports (like the quirky British tradition of cheese rolling). These activities keep him motivated, refreshed, and constantly ready to bring his best to RTS and the youth he supports.
