With over 20 years dedicated to youth development, Sheila Duke brings a passion for people and a commitment to fostering success to her role as Chief Executive Officer at Roads to Success.
Sheila's journey began in 1999 as a local tutor at the MLK Community Center, where she grew up. Over the years, she has held various senior and executive leadership roles, including Associate Executive Director of Early Childhood & Youth programs at Union Settlement Association. In this capacity, Sheila oversaw a portfolio of over $23 million in funding, impacting thousands of children and families.
Her tenure at New York Edge further exemplifies her dedication, where she managed summer programming, after-school programs, and college access initiatives, impacting the growth and development of over 1400 staff annually.
A proven advocate and nonprofit executive, Sheila has a track record of building coalitions, developing innovative programs, and advancing issues such as summer restoration campaigns, early childhood education, and youth services.
A native New Yorker, Sheila resides in Long Island with her husband, Frankie Duke. Actively involved in her local community, she is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Nassau Alumnae Chapter and serves as the 1st Vice President of her local NAACP branch.
Sheila holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from SUNY Old Westbury and a Master of Science in Non-Profit Leadership from Fordham University. Her dedication to volunteerism has earned her numerous awards and recognition.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Sheila finds joy in travel, aiming to visit every state and continent. She believes in living with purpose and finds fulfillment in her role as CEO at RTS, where she champions the organization's mission and vision every day.
In her free time, Sheila enjoys indulging in a good brunch and movie, cherishing moments of relaxation and enjoyment.
