Building a Stronger Future: Financial Literacy Workshops at Roads to Success

At Roads to Success, we believe that financial literacy is a cornerstone of independence and empowerment—a key skill that helps young people make informed decisions and build brighter futures.

On December 13th, 2024, we had the privilege of hosting Financial Literacy Workshops for our middle and high school students at Esperanza Preparatory Academy Magnet School, one of our valued partners.

The workshops, led by the incredible Anna Genov, were a resounding success! Over 150 students from 7th, 8th, and 12th grades participated in engaging sessions that covered essential financial topics, including:

• Banking: Understanding accounts and managing finances.
• Saving: The importance of setting goals and planning for the future.
• Credit Cards: How to use credit responsibly and avoid pitfalls.
• Investments: Exploring ways to grow wealth over time.
• Becoming Informed Consumers: Learning to make smart, thoughtful financial decisions.

For many students, this workshop was their first introduction to financial education. Through real-world examples and interactive discussions, Anna empowered our youth with the tools and knowledge they need to take control of their financial futures.
