Roads to Success Honors Martin Luther King Jr. Through Service

This past Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Roads to Success staff and partners came together to serve our community in honor of Dr. King's legacy of compassion.

RTS teamed up with Assemblymember George Alvarez and Part Of The Solution(POTS), a staple organization fighting food insecurity in the Bronx. At POTS' kitchen, our volunteers prepared over 500 sandwiches and 140 hot meals to be distributed to neighbors in need during POTS' daily lunch service.

By supporting their existing program, we aimed to uplift Dr. King's call to action - "Everybody can be great because everybody can serve." Our small act connected to his profound legacy of collaborating to build the Beloved Community through care for one another.

The staff left feeling inspired by answering the call to give back alongside our incredible partners already doing this vital work daily. Though the journey continues toward Dr. King's vision of belonging and justice for all, we were humbled to contribute through service rooted in love this MLK Day.

Roads to Success thanks Assemblymember Alvarez, POTS, and all our volunteers for dedicating time and care to feed the community.

We look forward to future opportunities to uplift our neighbors and promote equity.
