Roads to Success

In the warm glow of this October evening, Roads to Success (RTS) welcomed over 70 cherished supporters to our annual Fall Toasting event - a gathering that proved to be more than just a celebration; it was a testament to the power of community in transforming young lives.

Special gratitude to our Event Sponsor and steadfast supporter, Concorde Education, whose commitment to our mission continues to make transformative experiences possible for our youth.

The evening began with a moving address from RTS CEO Sheila Duke, whose passion for youth development was evident in every word.

"Every time I look around this room, I see not just supporters, but dream makers. Each of you here tonight represents a beacon of hope for a young person trying to find their path. Together, we're not just building programs - we're building futures, one young life at a time."

The room buzzed with an energy that only comes when purpose-driven individuals unite for a common cause.

Board Chair, Gregorio Concha Toro struck a deeply personal chord with his reflective message:

"We all have, at one point, had a mentor or an individual who inspired us. Take 5 seconds to think about a person who helped pave your road to success. We are helping create those moments, skills, and connections for the next generation."

His words hung in the air, a powerful reminder of why everyone had gathered.

The evening's keynote speaker, Dr. Kristy De La Cruz, District Four Community Superintendent, masterfully wove together the event's theme of "Harvesting Hope" with the vital importance of community partnerships in education. Her words reinforced what everyone in the room already knew:

“When communities come together, possibilities multiply.”

Roque's Journey of Growth

With remarkable poise, Roque shared how his summer with RTS transformed not just his resume, but his entire outlook on life.

"From the very beginning, I was embraced by a team that genuinely cared about my growth and success."

His story of finding mentorship and purpose resonated deeply with everyone present.

Saye's Testament to Perseverance

Arriving in the USA just last year, Saye's journey from newcomer to achiever captured the essence of what RTS strives for. Her story of finding support, guidance, and opportunities through RTS despite initial challenges reminded everyone why this work matters so much.
